This position will be a Flat Rate PRN role, with shifts determined by needs.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited academic program in speech pathology or equivalent foreign program accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Current license in the State of Indiana.
• Certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment.
• Administers appropriate tests and measures to design a treatment plan for improved communication and swallowing.
• Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students.
• Participates in related activities in support of patient care, education, and department operations.
