We are seeking Part-Time Speech Pathologist (Consultant) to join our team of caring professionals and provide services for children in our Pre-School. School Calendar - 32 1/2hr work week plus 6-week summer program!! The Speech and Language Pathologist reports directly to the Director of Children’s Services. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Screen and evaluate students with respect to speech and hearing functions. Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluation for each student, including appraisal of articulation, voice, rhythm, and language. Coordinate comprehensive speech and language evaluations for each student, appraisal of articulation, voice, rhythm and language. Provide in-service training for parents. Provide in-service training for staff. Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations. Provide testament services interpreted as an extension of the evaluation process that include: a. Speech therapy for students in need. b. Collaboration with appropriate staff to develop specialized programs for developing communication skills of individuals in the areas of receptive language, as well as expressive language. c. Consultation with staff for speech improvement and speech education activities Develop individual educational plans for each student. Provide written summaries noting past therapy, from the present phase of therapy and any specific methods to be utilized with the student. Provide written facility staff reports and discuss same, which will then be made part of student’s record. Proficiency in written and oral English required. All other duties necessary in order to provide continuous services to individual. PAY RATE: $65.00 hourly
