About The Position

Make a lasting impact on children and families! Tresco is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services for clients with developmental disabilities. You’ll also train and mentor families, students, and professionals in communication development and disorders.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current SLP license from the State of New Mexico.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record.
  • Background check & post-offer drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement innovative programs for children and families.
  • Identify and diagnose communication and oropharyngeal disorders.
  • Provide habilitation, rehabilitation, and prevention services.
  • Refer families to appropriate medical or professional resources as needed.
  • Assist in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
  • Guide parents and professionals in understanding developmental status.
  • Deliver both center-based and home-based therapy services.
  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team using a family-centered approach.
  • Train parents and professionals through workshops and one-on-one support.
  • Travel statewide as required for service delivery and training.
  • Support childcare and child development activities as needed.
