The Long-Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist for preschool is responsible for use of speech, hearing, language theories, principles and skills in order to: identify, evaluate and remediate communication and psycholinguistic disorders, facilitate change, and assume collaborative roles with general and special education teachers, administrators, other school personnel, and parents in the areas of language, speech and hearing impairments and their relation to the learning process. This individual must have strong clinical skills in language acquisition and language development. This individual should have a solid understanding of using PES and AAC devices as well as childhood apraxia.
