About The Position

Light Street is now interviewing Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in San Gabriel, California for a full-time position for immediate start! Clinical Manager support. Competitive compensation - up to $50/hour W2 based on experience. Onsite, 5 days/week. One school site. Caseload of approximately 40 students. Experience providing services to students with moderate-severe disabilities preferred, but not required. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Maintain CA SLPA license.

  • Experience providing services to students with moderate-severe disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the SLP in conducting speech and language screenings using established protocols without interpretation.
  • Implement speech and language therapy activities designed by the SLP that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the integration of speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum.
  • Prepare therapy materials and equipment for use in classroom and therapy activities as determined by student needs.
  • Document student progress toward meeting established objectives and report this information to the supervising SLP.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology.
  • Assist in organizing classroom activities by preparing educational materials and creating an orderly learning environment.
  • Support early intervening services by participating in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) or response to intervention (RTI) initiatives under SLP guidance.
  • Use assistive technology devices for communication as directed by the SLP.
