About this job: Speech Language Pathologist Assistants assists the Speech Language Pathologist with language and hearing screenings (without interpretation). Follows documented treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist and documents student performance. Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology with completed SLPA training project (usually in the last semester of BA program)
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant experience
  • School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Authorization required
  • Certificate of completion for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program required
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position

Responsibilities

  • Implements documented treatment/intervention plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
  • Accurately collects and records subjective and objective data
  • Records students’ status with regard to established objectives as stated in the treatment plan
  • Reports information to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist
  • Performs various clerical tasks, including filing, copying, and completing Medicaid billing
  • Discusses student treatment plans with the Speech Language Pathologist
  • Assists Speech Language Pathologist in the assessment of students and conducts standardized and non-standardized screenings as requested by the Pathologist
