As an SLPA, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, assisting in providing therapy tailored to the needs of high school students. Requirements

State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Experience working with high school students preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well within a team setting
High attention to detail and effective organizational skills
A commitment to following treatment plans and working under supervision
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development in the field of Speech Language Pathology

Responsibilities

Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in evaluating and diagnosing high school students
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
Conduct therapy sessions to enhance communication and language skills

Educate students and families on communication strategies and techniques
Collaborate with faculty and staff to create an inclusive learning environment
