The Speech Language Pathology Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide support in the delivery of speech and language services to students. This role is essential in helping students improve their communication skills and achieve their educational goals. The position may be available as either full-time or part-time, depending on the needs of the school district and the candidate's availability.

  • Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs as directed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Provide direct support to students in individual or group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress and report findings to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support students' communication needs.
  • Completion of a Speech Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Familiarity with special education practices.
  • Certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
