The Speech Language Pathologist role involves conducting assessments and evaluations to determine educational eligibility and level of functioning. The position requires the development and maintenance of compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participation in multi-disciplinary teams. The Speech Language Pathologist will also be responsible for developing treatment plans, consulting with team members and families, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. Employees are encouraged to schedule their time off during school breaks, with requests reviewed by supervisors to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Conduct compliant, formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility/level of functioning.
  • Complete observations and evaluations, and manage annual and triennial reviews.
  • Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit.
  • Consult with team members, including families, to maximize generalization of target skill sets.
  • Oversee and support the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data.
  • Use research-based data for monitoring and reporting.
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain such licensure.
  • Department of Education certification (if applicable), and any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI) as needed.
  • Preferably one year of experience in speech therapy; clinical fellows or RPE candidates are welcome.
  • DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
