About The Position

The EVCA is seeking additional substitute teachers to join our substitute list. This position is essential for maintaining the quality of education in our schools when regular teachers are unavailable. Substitute teachers will be responsible for following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and ensuring that students continue to learn in a structured environment.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a substitute teacher
• Familiarity with the curriculum and educational standards of the EVCA

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Provide instruction to students in accordance with the lesson plan
• Assess student progress and report back to the regular teacher
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed
