We are seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow to join our outpatient team at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. Upcoming graduates may interview for our role once the Praxis exam is passed. SLP licensure is required to begin orientation. Our Rehab Clinic operates Monday through Friday. Our employees have the flexibility to choose a full-time schedule that suits their week, whether it's five 8-hour days, four 10-hour days, or another variation. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in helping infants and children develop communication, swallowing, feeding, and cognitive skills essential for daily life. In this outpatient pediatric setting, you will: Assess patients using appropriate evaluation tools and interpret findings. Develop individualized, measurable, and developmentally appropriate treatment goals. Provide patient and family education to support care at home. Deliver evidence-based therapy for a wide range of conditions, including speech/language delays, feeding and swallowing disorders, and cognition-related conditions. Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to maximize outcomes. Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in accordance with clinical standards. Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and provide in-services or community outreach as needed. Flexibility is essential, as this position may include floating between care settings, community visits, and family-friendly scheduling to best serve our patients. Until all children are well. Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current Texas Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellow Status with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Current CPR certification or will complete within 90 days upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience with cognition-related conditions (e.g., strokes, brain injury, etc.) a plus
