This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple ICUs and step-down units in a Level 1 Trauma Center, providing life-changing care to medically complex patients. What You’ll Do As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will: Evaluate and treat adult patients with swallowing, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS/VFSS) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, OTs, PTs, and other specialists Document patient progress in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards Mentor graduate students and clinical fellows in a teaching hospital environment Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) – Required Tennessee SLP Licensure or eligibility Completion of Clinical Fellowship (CF) Why Choose Vanderbilt?   • Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum.
  • Applies appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluates performance to assess patient's progress towards goals.
  • Employs strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments.
  • Supervises graduate students by providing instruction, guidance/counsel and training to ensure provision of competent patient care and completion of appropriate documentation.
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) – Required
  • Tennessee SLP Licensure or eligibility
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship (CF)
  • Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : 1 year
