What you'll do: The Speech Language Pathologist conducts comprehensive speech/language and/or swallowing diagnostics at an advanced level and determines intervention programming to facilitate diagnosis and treatment of inpatients and outpatients with speech, language, voice, and/or swallowing disorders to optimal level of functioning. Provides supervision to graduate student clinicians and clinical fellowship year clinician and/or swallowing disorders to improve patients status/level of function using basic and advanced techniques. Counsels and instructs patients/family members regarding program expectations, corrective techniques, and devices to improve carry over/level of function.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Specify Degree(s): Speech Language Pathology
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.
  • CPR - Basic Life Support Rehab - Illinois Licensed Speech Pathologist/Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology (SLP/CCC)

Responsibilities

  • The Speech Language Pathologist conducts comprehensive speech/language and/or swallowing diagnostics at an advanced level and determines intervention programming to facilitate diagnosis and treatment of inpatients and outpatients with speech, language, voice, and/or swallowing disorders to optimal level of functioning.
  • Provides supervision to graduate student clinicians and clinical fellowship year clinician and/or swallowing disorders to improve patients status/level of function using basic and advanced techniques.
