About The Position

Hope Therapeutic Services, a division of Hope, has been providing skilled therapy services for over 26 years, specializing in speech-language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy, and music therapy to empower individuals with disabilities. As part of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals through clinical, educational, and therapeutic programs, Hope Therapeutic Services offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. The organization is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to students in a school-based setting. The SLP will work with students who have communication disorders affecting speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication, and will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Missouri licensure as an SLP.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience in school-based settings or pediatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' needs.
  • Interpret evaluation results and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on student goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services based on IEP goals.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment strategies to improve communication skills.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student development.
  • Provide training and strategies for educators to facilitate classroom communication.
  • Communicate with caregivers about progress and recommendations for home support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, therapy notes, and IEP updates.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state/federal regulations.
  • Complete Medicaid billing as required by the district.
