About The Position
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - PRN Park Forest Care Center, Westminster CO Independence Rehab Independence Rehab is actively seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to support our therapy team at Park Forest Care Center , a respected skilled nursing facility in Westminster, CO. About the Role As a PRN SLP in a skilled nursing setting, you'll provide evaluation and treatment services for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team. At present, we anticipate needing about 5 hours of patient care each week. SNF Practice Highlights Evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia-related needs Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on safety, function, and quality of life Conduct swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and therapy teams to support resident care plans Provide education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate Competency training available - support provided for clinicians new to or growing within the SNF setting What We Offer Flexible PRN scheduling - coverage based on facility needs and your availability Supportive, collaborative therapy environment Opportunity to maintain or expand SNF clinical skills (Benefits are not included for PRN positions.)
Requirements
- Current Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Organized, self-directed, and patient-focused
- Passion for working with the geriatric population
Nice To Haves
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Skilled nursing facility experience preferred, but motivated clinicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
