About The Position

This is a temporary, 4-month position from mid-June to mid-Oct for a speech language pathologist to support our rehabilitation flexible workforce team.
This SLP will serve patient care needs across our system at various sites, including but not limited to M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank and West Bank Hospitals in Minneapolis, M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, and M Health Fairview Bethesda Hospital at the Community Health & Wellness Hub in St. Paul. In collaboration with patients and families, the SLP is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.
FTE: 0.7, authorized for 56 hours per pay period.
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and one weekend (Saturday/Sunday) per month.
Fairview Rehabilitation offers a range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

Requirements

• Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and
• Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Minnesota
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• If in Clinical Fellowship Year only: Active temporary license in the State of Minnesota, ASHA member and actively working towards obtaining Certificate of Clinical Competence

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience with adults and pediatrics
• Feeding services experience and trained
• Completion of CFY

Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist partners with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation
• Gathers pertinent data
• Performs examination
• Determines treatment diagnosis
