About The Position
The Creekside School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is essential in supporting students with moderate to severe developmental needs, helping them build meaningful communication and life skills.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Active California SLP license
- Experience working with students with autism and/or developmental disabilities
- Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AAC and nonverbal communication preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services aligned with student IEPs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy goals
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support communication development including AAC, social skills, and functional language
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families
- Supervise and support Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Ensure therapy strategies are consistently implemented across the classroom
