About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting. This role supports students’ academic, social, and communication development through evidence-based interventions, evaluations, and collaboration with educational staff to enhance functional communication skills across the school environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active or eligible Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship eligible
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based speech therapy settings
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development
  • Familiarity with IDEA regulations and IEP documentation
  • Excellent organizational, clinical documentation, and time management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in school-based SLP roles
  • Exposure to AAC and assistive communication technologies
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual learning needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Identify articulation, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals
  • Provide direct therapy in individual, small group, and classroom-based formats
  • Participate in the IEP process including goal setting, progress monitoring, and reporting
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Maintain accurate, data-driven documentation of student progress
  • Support communication strategies across academic and classroom settings
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
  • Attend meetings, parent conferences, and professional training sessions
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment
