Provides screening to identify speech/language eligible children. Provides hearing screening at first and fourth grades as mandated by the State Department of Education. Provides speech, language and hearing assessments for children referred as possibly having speech/language and/or/hearing impairments. Provides speech/language and hearing assessments for students referred for comprehensive assessment. Provides screening and assessments for Child Find. Accurately and punctually completes all reports, records and assignments. Assists in referring children to agencies and specialists in the community when appropriate. Implements a therapy program for students eligible for speech/language therapy. Provides speech/language and related information and support to parents and families of students with speech/language disabilities. Conducts IEP reviews at least annually for each speech child on his/her roster. Provides in-service education and consults with teachers and staff on speech and language disabilities. Reports regularly and punctually to assigned work location(s) and all assigned duties. Notifies principal or designated person of impending absence.
