About The Position

About Us GulfSouth Autism Center (GSAC) is a multidisciplinary clinic that services autistic preschoolers ages 2-6. Our goal is to support each child in developing communication, regulation, and participation skills so they can transition into school with the tools they need to succeed. About Us As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll work in a fully in-house clinic where SLPs, OTs, and BCBAs collaborate daily to support each child. You'll have regular opportunities to problem-solve with your team, carry over strategies across disciplines, and continue developing your clinical skills. We genuinely enjoy working with our kids and strive to create an environment that is supportive for both clients and clinicians.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Louisiana
  • Clinical Fellows and SLPAs welcome
  • Pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • AAC and feeding experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducting Speech-Language, Feeding, and AAC Evaluations
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Programming and developing AAC systems (LAMP WFL, TD Snap, P2G, etc)
  • Conducting play-based and child-led speech, language, and feeding therapy sessions
  • Training BCBAs, technicians, SLP students, parents and OTs on speech, language, and feeding strategies.
  • Monitoring client progress and adjusting goals as needed
  • Collaborating with OT and BCBA team members
  • Completing documentation (SOAP notes, Progress Notes) through our EMR system (Ensora)
