About The Position

Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient/family counseling, and appropriate referrals as necessary to all inpatients and outpatients exhibiting a speech, language, hearing or swallowing disorder. Requirements

• Master's degree in speech pathology required
• CCC-SLP Speech Pathology license required
• New Jersey
• Strong customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year or experience in rehabilitation with adult speech/language-impaired populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Effectively evaluates the patient's performance in any communicative disorders.
• Develops appropriate therapeutic plan based on patient assessment and physician's orders.
• Observes patient/resident progress and updates plan as indicated.
• Provides therapy for all types of speech language hearing and swallowing disorders.
• Coordinates care plan with other healthcare providers.
• Provides education to the patient/family regarding the disease processes and planned treatment/intervention.
• Provides instruction in the areas of health promotion, activity and medication as appropriate.
• Evaluates the patient's progress, goal attainment and need for further services following discharge.
• Documents results of diagnostic evaluations, care plan and Resident progress in medical record.
