About The Position

To provide Speech Therapy services to patients in an Inpatient Rehab setting Develop, document, and implement appropriate treatment plans to promote the optimal outcomes for patients with a wide range of injuries and ages Participates in regularly scheduled patient care-team conferences to contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care with therapy goals, patient progress, and discharge recommendations. Coordinates patient care with an interdisciplinary team that includes but is not limited to: physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, etc. Demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment, with strong organizational and time management skills. A compassionate professional who encourages and inspires their patients to work toward greater independence and recovery Shift: PRN - As Needed

Requirements

  • Appropriate degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current, valid Speech Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Mississippi and ASHA Membership
  • Must have CCCs or is in active pursuit with attainment within 1 year of employment
  • American Red Cross BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings preferred
