Academies of Math and Science Speech Language Pathologist (Part-Time, Remote) Location: Remote (serving Arizona based schools) Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 annually, DOE (prorated for part-time) Position Summary: The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of top-rated public K–8 charter schools that has served Arizona communities for more than 20 years. We are committed to providing rigorous academics, strong support systems, and high expectations to empower students to become tomorrow’s global visionaries. This part-time remote role averages approximately 20 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible; however, the SLP must be available between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Arizona time to provide services and participate in school-day activities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency)
  • Additional certification supporting work with students with speech and/or language disabilities
  • Must possess either: A valid Arizona Standard Certification in Speech Pathology and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card OR A state license issued by the Arizona Department of Health as a Speech-Language Therapist/Pathologist and a Clearance 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Card

Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate students with language difficulties or developmental delays.
  • Provide speech and language services in alignment with each student’s IEP.
  • Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team when reviewing student eligibility for speech and language services.
  • Prepare lesson plans aligned with IEP goals in collaboration with classroom teachers.
  • Complete all required local, state, and federal documentation for student caseloads.
  • Act as a resource for teachers, parents, and administrators regarding speech and language needs.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing training for speech and language paraprofessionals.
