About The Position

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), internally referred to as our Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Therapist . As our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in Speech Therapy
Licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology
Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current

Nice To Haves

MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology
One year of experience with swallow assessment and treatment in an acute care hospital setting
One year of experience in acute care

Responsibilities

Provide coverage for inpatients in the acute care setting
The candidate who fills this position will provide coverage for hospital inpatients in the acute care setting
Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician
90%-95% of our referral are swallow related; we do some cognitive/speech evaluations and treatment as well
Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department
If working weekends, the weekend shift is an on-call shift on Saturday 8:00a - 9:00a with call-back pay if called in
