Speech Language Pathologist (Summer School)
About The Position
The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to join their Summer School Program in Schenectady, NY. For 80 years, the Center has been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals with disabilities, offering innovative programs and vital services not available elsewhere. The Summer Program runs from July 8th to August 21st, with orientation on July 7th and 8th. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM. The organization is committed to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead full, independent lives, having served over 12,000 people. Every employee plays an integral part in their mission to empower individuals and promote independence, contributing to a brighter and more accessible world for those they serve.
Requirements
- Graduate degree (Masters) in field of Speech Language Pathology is required.
- New York State Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Less than 1 yr of job related experience required in Speech Language Pathology
Nice To Haves
- Professional experience with working with individuals with developmental, physical and neurological disorders preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the mission of the Center, Clinical Department by working collaboratively with program directors and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality, state-of-the-art, cost effective services to all individuals served and their families.
