Speech Language Pathologist
About The Position
Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a flexible, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to provide home-based Early Intervention services to infants, toddlers, and their families. The agency specializes in early intervention for children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age, operating nationwide with programs throughout California. Their multidisciplinary programs include occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. The role involves making a daily difference in the lives of young children by joining a team of dedicated professionals.
Requirements
- California Speech Language Pathology license
- Pediatric experience required
- Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Early Intervention experience preferred
- Home-based service delivery experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
Responsibilities
- Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
- Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
- Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
- Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings
- Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
