About The Position

The Black Hawk Area Special Education District is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to support students and staff across the district. The role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating on multidisciplinary teams to address referrals to inter-district programs. Providing individual psychological evaluations as a par of initial and re-evaluations of students 3-21 (inclusive). Participate in and assist in the development of initial evaluation, re-evaluation and annual review conferences as appropriate. Serve as liaison among parents, individual schools, and other agencies for children with disabilities. This is NOT a supervisory position and DOES NOT include evaluation of colleagues.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Illinois Speech Language Pathology License (IDFPR)
