What you will do: As a Speech and Language Pathologist you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient’s functional outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree
• Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration
• Must have completed Clinical Fellowship year
• Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association

Responsibilities

• Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
• Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
• Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.
• Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
• Participates in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards.
