This position is for a Speech & Language Pathologist responsible for assisting teachers in identifying and referring children with suspected speech, hearing, and language problems. The role involves providing thorough assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for various speech, voice, hearing, fluency, and language issues. Key duties include participating in relevant meetings (staffing, evaluation team, IEP), making appropriate referrals to community agencies, and developing individualized therapy programs. The pathologist will collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to implement therapy strategies, offer information and counseling to parents, and maintain detailed records for students receiving therapy. Additionally, the role serves as a resource and consultant for school staff on speech and language improvement, provides professional development, and requires maintaining professional competence, attending meetings, and performing other duties as assigned by the OVESC Superintendent.
