The Speech Pathologist provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with Florida Speech Pathology Association standards and pursuant to Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 486.021 (S): 'Speech Pathologist means a person who is licensed and who practices speech therapy in accordance with this chapter.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology School
- Bachelor's degree
- SP-L - Licensed Speech Pathologist Current license of Speech Language Pathologist in Florida or licensure from another state Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
Responsibilities
- Collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or situation.
- Performs consults as indicated from database collection
- Analyzes the assessment data to determine course of treatment.
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
- The Patients Plan of Care is developed to attain expected outcomes.
