Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Assist in all phases of the planning and implementation of clinical, programmatic, and educational initiatives focused on patients with dysphagia and their families Participate in departmental activities in the area of Medical Care, Professional Training and Education, Patient/Family, Education, Advocacy for children with special needs, and Research Evaluate, diagnose, and recommend treatment of identified patients with communication and swallowing disorders Assist in developing schedules for families to support the optimal therapeutic impact for the patients Assist with maintaining communication with the patient/family regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic program outlined by the Developmental Disabilities Team Help coordinate and lead patient care staffing of the patients seen through the DD Dysphagia Team Prepare and present continuing educational programs for staff/families related to dysphagia and intervention for the condition

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Specific training in pediatric dysphagia
  • 5 years of clinical experience
