Requirements

• Active, good standing MA Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or short-term rehab preferred.
• Maintains professional and educational competency in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Physically able to perform job duties, including standing, sitting, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs unassisted and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with residents, families, visitors, government personnel, and interdisciplinary staff.

• Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or short-term rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide therapy and interventions to improve communication, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, occupational and physical therapists, dietitians, and physicians, to coordinate care.
• Monitor and document resident progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate outcomes to families and care teams.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing techniques, and appropriate therapy exercises.
