The Banner Boswell Inpatient Rehabilitation Services Department (acute care—hospital) provides Therapy Services (PT/OT/ST) to hospital inpatients, observation patients, post-op OPIB patients, and outpatients in the ED. Therapy services are vital to patient outcomes, patient experience, and efficiency/utilization to ensure proper through put. Our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provide direct patient care through evaluations and skilled interventions that assist with discharge planning, throughput, and successful patient outcomes. The position is part-time 20 hours per week. Shift available consists of two 8 hour shifts per week and one 4 hour shift per week. Coverage days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday with 1 weekend both Saturday and Sunday once every 4 weeks. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides screening, evaluation, and rehabilitation services for patients with speech and language disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. This position plans and carries out specialized treatment programs, documents treatment, and maintains data regarding patient care. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.
