About The Position

The primary duties of the Speech Therapist are to test and measure those patients with speech, language, cognitive, hearing, and/or swallowing impairments. As prescribed by a referring physician, the Speech Therapist evaluates, establishes a treatment plan, and treats the patients. The Speech Therapist is mindful of the diagnosis and considers all precautions, indications and contraindications of care. Requirements

  • M..A. or M. S. in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from and accredited graduate program.
  • Certification awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in acute care and swallow disorders is preferred but entry-level positions are also available.
