Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient Rehab & Acute Care Hospital Setting Position Details Location: 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Drive Schedule: Weekdays as needed One weekend per month required Ability to work around or on major and minor holidays Pace: Moderately paced Setting: Acute Care Hospital & Inpatient Rehabilitation Experience Requirement: Experienced SLP only – No CFYI Make Every Voice Count We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our collaborative, supportive, and growth‑minded team in a moderately paced hospital environment. Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) required
Active Florida SLP license (provisional license acceptable)
Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification
No CFYI – prior clinical experience required
Demonstrated experience in: Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Inpatient rehabilitation and acute care hospital settings
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders across varying acuity levels
Conduct and interpret Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and FEES
Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans
Re‑evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment goals throughout the continuum of care
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, PTs, OTs, dietitians, and interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families to support safe swallowing, communication, and recovery
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliant billing practices
Identify when patients have achieved optimal benefit from therapy and communicate discharge recommendations
