About The Position

TheraCare has been a leading provider of Early Intervention services throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years old) with developmental delays and their families. We take pride in supporting CT’s children and families in natural environments. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide early intervention services to children from birth to age 3 in the child’s natural environment. You’ll assess communication needs, support development of individualized treatment plans, and work collaboratively with families and other professionals.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current CT state license and ASHA CCCs (or CFY supervision available).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and travel to service locations.
Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer).
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to travel to various locations on a daily basis.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Experience with early intervention or pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations and provide direct early intervention services for children ages 0–3 in home and community settings.
In collaboration with family and team, develop and implement individualized family service plans based on child and family outcomes.
Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Document services in compliance with state and program requirements.
Attend scheduled IFSP meetings and participate in teaming meetings to provide and receive support from interdisciplinary team.
Provide caregiver coaching as it relates to family priorities and IFSP outcomes.
