Speech Language Pathologist – Part Time - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Cornell Campus Step into the compassionate world of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where patients turn to Speech Language Pathologists of the highest caliber. As part of our tight-knit team, you’ll have the opportunity to provide outstanding, compassionate care to newborn babies in NewYork-Presbyterian’s Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns. The NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is a leader in providing personalized and supportive care. This 222,000 square foot facility features 75 private rooms and well-baby bassinets, 60 private neonatal intensive care isolettes, 16 labor and delivery rooms, five operating rooms, 20 maternal critical assessment and treatment rooms, and 15 ultrasound rooms. Here you will evaluate, plan, and provide feeding, swallowing and communication treatment programs within the neonatal ICU. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting is necessary. This part time position is as follows Monday 8am-3:30pm, Tuesday, 8am-12:45p and Friday 8am-3:30pm. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Clinical Certificate of Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association
  • New York State licensure
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting is necessary

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of NICU experience, preferably within a Level IV NICU
  • Certified Neonatal Therapist
  • Competency in Modified Barium Swallow studies with the pediatric population
  • Regular weekday availability
