Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for flexible hours in a nationally ranked children's hospital? Vanderbilt Health is seeking a PRN Pediatric SLP to support our outpatient and inpatient pediatric rehab services. This is a great opportunity for clinicians who specialize in feeding and swallowing therapy, speech-language development, and video-fluoroscopic swallow studies. We're seeking a PRN Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide hospital-based therapy for children from birth through adolescence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis. Collaborates with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum. Applies appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluates performance to assess patient's progress towards goals. Employs strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments. Supervises graduate students by providing instruction, guidance/counsel and training to ensure provision of competent patient care and completion of appropriate documentation.   • Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy for pediatric patients.
  • Support children with complex medical needs (e.g., dysphagia, tracheostomy, traumatic brain injury)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, physicians, and nurses.
  • Conduct feeding/swallowing assessments and video-fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS).
  • Document patient progress and outcomes using EMR systems.
  • Assist with discharge planning.
  • Educate families and caregivers on therapy plans and progress.
  • Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (from an accredited program)
  • Tennessee SLP License (or eligibility)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Pediatric feeding/swallowing experience - required.
