Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or eligibility to obtain
  • Current state licensure or certification as an SLP
  • At least 1 year of experience preferred (home care experience a plus)
  • Current CPR certification and up-to-date PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and oral-motor skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams
  • Provide direct therapy using specialized techniques and equipment
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and strategies
  • Recommend communication aids and coordinate referrals for audiology services as needed
  • Document patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and discharge planning
