About The Position

Seeking Speech Language Therapist! Part-time (48 hours biweekly), day shift, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Weekend and Holiday rotations Baptist Health Floyd, Speech Therapy, Acute care and outpatient Speech Language Pathologist located within the hospital at Baptist Health Floyd. Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with interest in acute care as well as outpatient populations. This position is primarily in acute care, but also includes the opportunity to serve outpatients within our community-based hospital. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work one on one with patients to deliver effective bedside swallow evaluations and interventions, modified barium swallow studies, and interventions for cognition, social interaction, communication and problem solving. A successful SLP enjoys being creative to engage patients in each individualized plan of care. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration working closely with radiology team members, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, referring providers, case management team, social workers, and nursing staff to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients. Requirements

  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology or communicative disorders from an accredited program or whose course work and practice meet ASHA Certification requirements
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or be CCC eligible (in their Clinical Fellowship Year - CFY)
  • Indiana license in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current IN license in speech/language pathology
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year experience preferred
