Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team. This role supports students with communication needs by providing direct interventions, conducting evaluations, developing high-quality IEPs, and collaborating with staff and families to promote meaningful progress. Requirements
- Strong understanding of evidence-based speech-language interventions.
- Skilled in writing compliant, data-driven IEPs.
- Ability to complete evaluations and reports in alignment with state guidelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads, timelines, and documentation efficiently.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Current Louisiana SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

- Experience working in a school setting is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals.
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, including screenings, formal assessments, and diagnostic reports aligned to Louisiana Bulletin 1508 guidelines.
- Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect accurate data, present levels, measurable goals, and appropriate services.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, timelines, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to support student communication needs across school environments.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, progress monitoring, and required professional development.
- Collect and analyze ongoing progress data and adjust therapy interventions as needed.
- Provide resources, strategies, and communication support to teachers to increase generalization of skills in the classroom.
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by administration
