About The Position

The Chimes School is a nonpublic, MSDE-approved special education program serving students ages 5–21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) . We’re known for our supportive, team-based environment, strong clinical and behavioral services, and a shared commitment to helping every student build communication, independence, and confidence. We’re expanding and looking for a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist who believes in the power of progress—one meaningful moment at a time.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Maryland SLP license (current)
ASHA CCC-SLP or eligibility for certification
At least 1 year of relevant experience (school setting or working with children/individuals with disabilities preferred)
Strong collaboration skills and a student-centered, compassionate approach
Acceptable driving record (may be required based on assignment)

Responsibilities

Provide speech/language evaluations and deliver therapy services (direct and consultative) aligned with student IEPs
Develop measurable IEP goals and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
Maintain timely documentation and ensure compliance with applicable school and state requirements (including COMAR)
Support staff with strategies and tools that enhance communication, including assistive technology as needed
Participate in team meetings , professional development, and other school-based activities
