The Speech Language Pathologist serves as a specialist to support students who are found eligible for speech/language special education services as defined by IDEA. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and identifying students with communication disorders that may include the areas of language, articulation, voice and fluency. The pathologist designs and implements specialized treatment/therapy plans for qualified students through direct and indirect support to minimize the adverse impact on the individual student’s success in the general education curriculum and in the least restrictive environment.
