About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our pediatric outpatient clinic in Elkhart, United States. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current state license and/or certification in speech-language pathology
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in pediatric speech-language pathology preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong emphasis on interpersonal and people skills
  • Demonstrated competency in applying evidence-based principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in speech therapy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Proficiency with various standardized assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for pediatric patients
  • Strong documentation, record-keeping, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines in healthcare settings
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment
  • Willingness to provide flexible therapy services at our outpatient clinic to accommodate diverse patient needs and scheduling requirements
  • Demonstrated passion for working with children and a patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to treatment
  • Strong time management and caseload management abilities
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, continuing education, and staying current with industry advancements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients using evidence-based diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs, abilities, and family circumstances
  • Provide high-quality therapy services using innovative, evidence-based therapeutic techniques and approaches
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, educators, and specialists to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care
  • Educate and empower parents, guardians, and caregivers by providing clear guidance on home-based strategies, exercises, and techniques to support progress
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized patient records, progress notes, and treatment documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Stay current with the latest advancements, research, and best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology and integrate new techniques into clinical practice
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic services and outcomes
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant accreditation standards, licensing requirements, and healthcare regulations
  • Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports the emotional and developmental needs of patients and their families
  • Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling needs and therapeutic priorities
