About The Position

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based On-Site | Full-Time | Temporary Assignment with Potential to Convert to Permanent HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a licensed and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school population through an in-person, school-based assignment. This is a full-time temporary role with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on program needs and performance. Assignment Details Start Date: Approximately February 1 Duration: 12 weeks (end date to be determined) Schedule: 5 days per week (School hours) Employment Type: On-Site only (no virtual services) Student & Caseload Information Age Group: Elementary school students Caseload: Approximately 45–50 students (fluid) Disabilities Served: Other Health Impairment (OHI) Learning Disabilities Autism Language Impairment Service Model: Services are primarily provided outside the general education setting Licensed and/or certified Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Maryland Ability to provide in-person services within a school setting If you are a school-based SLP seeking a full-time opportunity with the potential for long-term placement , we’d love to connect. Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
