About The Position

We are seeking a casual SLP to join our team. This position will work one weekend a month and one holiday a year. Opportunities to work additional May - August to help fill in for staff time off is desired. This is a flexible and diverse position offering great variety. The position would be able to see inpatients, outpatient adult, outpatient pediatrics and perform video swallow studies. The work environment is extremely collaborative between multiple disciplines (PT, OT, SLP) and offers a fast-paced tempo with a fun patient population. Job Summary: Speech Language Pathologists are health care professionals who address the restoration of maximum function by providing diagnostic, evaluative, and treatment services to clients with speech, language, voice, or swallowing problems.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited progra m.
• Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the State of Minnesot a.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or meets the educational requirements for certification and is able to accumulate the supervised experience required for certification.
• Current CPR certification requir ed

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides Speech/Language evaluation, treatment planning, and treatment implementation to clients of all ages; addresses individual developmental, cognitive and physical needs, as well as cultural difference s.
• Coordinates client care with other disciplines through good communication and intervention recommendation s.
• Provides education, information, and training to clients, family, caregivers, and community to promote continuity of care, optimum therapeutic outcome, and community healt h.
• Maintains documentation and records of treatment performance to assure quality client care, meet regulatory and professional standards, and receive optimal reimbursemen t.
• Acts as a consultant to internal and external customer s.
• Maintains education, knowledge, and training required to provide up-to-date, quality care to meet client case load and community needs and meet minimum national and state licensure requirement s.
• Oversees Speech/Language students and volunteer s.
• Participates in quality improvement and peer review to assure effective and efficient service s.
• Performs all other related duties as assigne d.
