About The Position

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • The required skills of assessment and treatment planning are essential for identifying the specific needs of each client and creating effective intervention strategies.
  • Strong communication skills are vital for conveying complex information to clients and their families in an understandable manner.
  • Empathy and patience are crucial in building rapport with clients, especially those who may be frustrated by their communication challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults.
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
  • Preferred skills, such as experience with AAC devices, enhance your ability to provide comprehensive support to clients with varying needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
