Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program
- Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License
- Prior experience is preferred, but CFY candidates are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Assess residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their goals.
- Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily routines and monitor their performance, adjusting treatments as necessary and preparing detailed progress reports.
- Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment while ensuring the secure handling of confidential resident information.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as needed.
- Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive care environment.
