A registered professional Speech and Language Pathologist who delivers individualized comprehensive care to patients through the rehabilitation department utilizing therapeutic use of self, innovative technology and collaboration among patients. Is responsible for providing Dysphagia rehabilitation and speech therapy in the hospital and clinical setting to facilitate the development and rehabilitation of patients based on total assessment and written evaluation which is appropriate to the patient’s medical condition to achieve an optimum level of function for each patient. The successful candidate: Must be able to work FT Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p.

Requirements

  • Must have a M.S. in Speech/Language Pathology or related field
  • Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • Be licensed by the State of Georgia
  • Current Georgia licensure from State Board of Speech Language and Audiology
  • BLS AHA Required. If current BLS is not AHA must obtain AHA within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services, including patient evaluations, treatment planning, patient and caregiver education, and accurate documentation of care and outcomes in compliance with state practice standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians to clarify orders, adjust treatment plans, review patient progress, and recommend appropriate durable medical equipment as needed.
  • Ensure accurate charge entry and adherence to regulatory and billing requirements.
  • Participate in departmental, hospital, and corporate performance improvement initiatives, including development and execution of SMART goals and tracking progress toward established objectives.
