About The Position

About STMA Schools We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12. We also have an 18-22 year old transition program for young adults with special needs. Position Overview & Responsibilities Responsible for identifying students with communication needs; planning and implementing appropriate research based intervention and support according to Individualized Education Program plans; and providing education and direction to school staff, family and related service providers regarding the student’s communication needs. Speech-Language Pathologists are district-wide employees, but generally assigned to one or two main school buildings. Start date : August 24, 2026 (plus new-to-district teacher orientation during the week prior to August 24, 2026) FTE : Full- and Part-Time Options Available Contract : 186 days (plus 2 or 3 days of new-to-district orientation, depending on the Department of Teaching & Learnings requirements for this position) Salary: Starting salary range = $48,292-$90,967 for full 1.0 FTE position; actual salary determined pro rata based on the FTE ultimately hired for. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from an ASHA accredited university is required.
  • MN Educational Speech Language Pathologist license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is preferred.
